Job Title: 2D Designer (Interiors) & Architectural Draftsman

Reports to: Design Director/Architectural Lead

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a skilled 2D Designer and Architectural Draftsman to create detailed, accurate drawings and designs for interior and architectural projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles, proficiency in CAD software, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design drafting: Create detailed 2D drawings, plans, elevations, and sections for interior and architectural projects.

2. CAD drafting: Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) to develop precise drawings.

3. Design development: Collaborate with designers, architects, and clients to develop and refine designs.

4. Documentation: Prepare and maintain design documentation, including drawings and specifications.

5. Space planning: Develop interior layouts, considering functionality, aesthetics, and client needs.

Additional Duties:

1. Design revisions: Update drawings and designs based on feedback and changes.

2. Quality control: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of drawings and designs.

3. Staying updated: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, design software, and best practices.

Requirements:

1. Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

2. Proven experience in 2D design and CAD drafting (portfolio required).

3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).

4. Strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, and building codes.

5. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with design visualization software (e.g., SketchUp).

2. Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.

3. Familiarity with interior design software (e.g., Revit, 3ds Max).
